50th Anniversary

In preparation for Broughton's 40th Anniversary celebrations, former teacher Christine Cox created this website; a series of Facebook groups; and a special 40th Anniversary Celebrations site to bring together former members of staff and students to facilitate a grand reunion. 

Time has marched on and the 50th anniversary in 2025 will soon be upon us.  Already, on social media, former students are asking the question "Will there be a celebration and reunion? "   Well, much of the hard work has already been done; we have a strong network of former pupils in place and merely need to make contact with people who left in more recent years to update it.  We also need to liaise with school to see if they have plans to mark the occasion, so organising one shouldn't prove too difficult.    However, a small committee of people dedicated to the cause wouldn't go amiss and so if you are interested in helping bring about a celebration of your alma mater in 2025, please contact me (mscoxenglish@gmail.com) 

If you aren't in a position to join an organising committee, do consider visiting your particular Facebook group and stoke up some interest.  And ... if you have been meaning to root out photos and memorabilia but never got round to it, now is a good time to do so!
