50th Anniversary Celebrations

To celebrate Broughton High turning 50 in 2025 we have arranged a "do" at Barton Hotel and Spa - formerly Barton Grange - on Saturday July 5th 2025.

The plan is for you to arrive from 7.00pm and to start off the evening at a table allocated to your year group so you can find a familiar face or two.  After that, the room is your oyster!  

We have requested the "Lily Evening Buffet" to be served around 8.00pm and then the DJ, Darrell, will do his thing. 

The 40th celebrations were thoroughly enjoyable and I would encourage anyone who is feeling hesitant reading this to take the plunge.  Some of you may be afraid of being judged because you were "hard work" at school.  Others of you didn't enjoy lessons but perhaps had fun with classmates.  Maybe you are reluctant to attend fearing a competition about who's made it and who hasn't.  

Obviously, I have attended reunions as a teacher rather than a former pupil but my experience of them allows me to say I think these fears have been unfounded and former pupils have had really positive experiences.  And  as Mr Thompson always said, "High school was just 5 years of your life and doesn't define you!"  Well, maybe what he said was less concise but you get the idea!
